Welcome to the presentation of German automobile suppliers at the 9th Auto Expo held in New Delhi, India.
India and Germany are facing the common strategic challenge of making the mobility of the future. We must of course strengthen cooperation on the development of the technologies with which we in the automotive industry ensure that our products become cleaner and more efficient. Here the supply industry in particular can make a crucial contribution – no matter whether we are looking at engine technology, power transmission or air-conditioning.
India is becoming more and more important for the international automotive industry. Germany has long standing activities in India. OEMs have built up capacities and are building up new ones. German suppliers already operate with more than 50 production sites.
At the Auto Expo 2008, India’s largest and most important event for automobiles and automotive, German automotive companies present their newest technology and world-wide leading products.
Under the roof of the German joint pavilion our exhibitors showcase German state-of-the-art automotive technology. The German automotive industry is a pioneer in improving the technical and environmental effects of its products.
The German supply industry makes an exceptional contribution to automotive technology, growth and employment levels worldwide. The suppliers carry out their own research and development. From the beginning, they have helped prepare the way for advances in automobile technology. Furthermore, the vehicle manufacturers are aware of and appreciate the flexibility and innovative talent of small and medium-sized German companies.
It is the contribution of the German automobile supply industry which has made German automobiles the technically most advanced in the world. Many of the innovations on which the reputation of the German automobile is founded stem from companies from the supply industry. They are appreciated partners of major automobile manufacturers throughout the world.
You are invited to take advantage of this opportunity for a mutual exchange of information and experience, for establishing first contacts or intensifying already existing ones with the German exhibitors.
